WhereToRun is an independent comparison site. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any hosting provider, hardware maker, Nous Research or the OpenClaw project.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate or referral links. They're marked with an "affiliate" label and use rel="sponsored". If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission or credit at no extra cost to you. Currently affiliate-linked: Nous Research (Nous Portal). Every other "Visit" link goes straight to the provider's public pricing page with no tracking.

Commissions never change prices, rankings or the order of the comparison table. The table is always sorted by the numbers you pick, and options without a public price sort last no matter what.

How prices are collected

Every price comes from the provider's public pricing page (Linode prices come from its public pricing API), opened in a headless browser. Each row shows when it was last checked. A script re-checks every page once a week and records changes on the price changes page. A value we couldn't confirm on an official source is left blank or marked unverified or derived, with a note. Prices are in USD and exclude tax unless noted. Promotions and stock change often, so always confirm on the provider's site before you buy.

Electricity estimates

The calculator uses the US average residential electricity price from the U.S. Energy Information Administration and manufacturer power figures where published. You can change both.
